Florence for kids!

Giostra Firenze

A fixed stop in the historic city-center of Florence for all children is the ancient carousel of Piazza Repubblica, which still belongs to the same family since the end of the 19th century, the Picci. They are carnies by tradition, a family, which proudly has been carrying on a historical heritage of the city for 5 generations.

The light in my daughter’s eyes shines as soon as we approach the Carousel with the bicycle and her face lights up in front of the elegant carriages and majestic horses, which seem to narrate a fairy-tale world of knights and princesses, a magical atmosphere full of colors and hand-decorated images that arouse wonder in grown-ups and kids. For all dreamers it is an opportunity to become a little child again.

Giostra Firenze

A ride on the Carousel brings a smile back to everyone, so much that Caterina would never want to get off. She knows well when we come back to the old city-center, we cannot miss a stop in this square. Florence is not just a city for history and art lovers, but for the whole family! The carousel is open every day of the year from 10 to midnight.
