Treasure hunt in Florence for Carnival!!

Caccia al tesoro Firenze

A unique idea for Catherine’s birthday! The birthday week was very intense, every day a new idea came to life in me, an unusual game to propose to children, to discover the city of Florence. The children are 5 years old, so they can’t read and write, but they know letters and numbers. I tried to identify with them and to return at my childhood for a day to rediscover that curiosity and children’s imagination.

What would have stimulated the desire in children to take part in the treasure hunt in the squares of Florence?

And here comes a Game Tour, with animals to be found in the statues of Signoria Square, figures to color, names of important characters to copy … in short, it was exciting and engaging for everyone, kids and grown-ups, who enjoyed it together until the end, finding the clues until the last test was completed, in order to obtain the coveted prize.

It’s Carnival time, it could only be a masked party, all the children with their favorite carnival dress, with confetti, streamers that were the setting for this adventure.

That same morning it was exhilarating to see in my daughter, as soon as she wakes up the enthusiasm in her eyes and listening to her sweet and sincere words “Mommy, I’m super excited  for the treasure hunt!”

This was a birthday to remember!

Come and try treasure hunts with me to let your children know the beauties of Florence too!
