Would you like to have a fun time in Florence with your family? There is something really cool that you should not miss!
It’s a special tour where you can see the whole city from up high. It’s like being on a big Ferris wheel, but even bigger than any other in Italy! You can walk there from the city centre and it’s open every day from December 8, 2023 to June 10, 2024. When you go up to 55 meters (180 feet), you can see an amazing view of Florence.
It’s so cool!
We didn’t even feel scared because we used our imagination to pretend we were on the rooftops of Florence and see all the famous buildings and monuments. It felt like they were getting closer to us. The wheel moves slowly and we could also see the mountains and a little village called Fiesole.
When we went down, we could hear the voices and laughter of people at a market near the Ferris wheel.
The big wheel that was put near the park called Fortezza da Basso two years ago is being moved to a different park called Parco delle Cascine this year.
My daughter Caterina and I made the decision to return.
This is a special place for her. Two years ago, when we reached the highest point on the wheel, we told her that she was going to have a little sister.
It was a very special moment that she will always remember.
